Pad's Side Story

Trip Back In Time

Available: After rescuing the Betty's Hope airship with Maverick II.
Location: Siberian Village

Head to London and speak to Bridget at the Adventurer's Association to learn about a weird request from 15 years ago from a man named Patrick in Siberian Village. Go to Siberian Village now and you'll notice there's no one there and the background music is different. Go to the house in the northwest corner of the village and you'll meet Patrick's wife.

A baby cries and she calls him Pad. A quake happened for a few seconds and Eddie and his group decide to go out to investigate what it is. Apparently, it's Yang Gui! She doesn't remember who Eddie and his group are and then Magi appears. She leaves and then you have to fight Yang Gui.

Use Pad's new skill, Bullet Drive to quickly finish off the battle. After beating her, she will mention about Patrick holding on to the Talisman of Light. Fiona thinks that what just happened was what happened 15 years ago. Go back to the house only to notice that Elizabeth and her baby are no longer there.

Go out to see that the village is back to normal again. Go back to London's Adventurer's Association and talk to Bridget to get a Flare Crossbow as a reward.

Chasing Ghosts

Available: After beating Temple of Knight in Tomb Chapel.
Location: East of Tokyo

Go to Beatrice's house to find out that Elizabeth was missing. Go to the airship dock to learn that Elizabeth was last seen near Delhi area. Fly to Australia (southeast of Japan, east of Mu) and you'll find the Betty Hope and the Ghost Ship of Pad's dad.

Start off with Pad's Smoke Shot, Melody's Cannon, Fiona's Guard Shield and Eddie's Spiral Arrow. Upon beating the Ghost Ship, Elizabeth will talk to the spirit of Patrick. He then will talk to Pad and acknowledges him as his son. Elizabeth mentions that combining the medal that she has with her son's will result in Talisman of Light. The party will return to London with Elizabeth to Beatrice's house. Elizabeth will explain everything. They will try to convince Pad, but he is too bitter to accept it. But, he finally calls Elizabeth "mom" (Aw...) and receives the Talisman of Light.
